A folding front for a whole wall
The folding door is the wide-opening series of the Adam Alux door range. The catalogue prints it on page 066 as a single rendered villa, and the rendering carries the whole idea: a bank of glass leaves set into a pale facade, held part-open so the living room runs out to a pool deck, a lawn and a stone-clad wall. Closed, the same bank reads as one glazed wall across the front of the room; folded, it gathers to one side and the opening clears. Everything this page states about the series is read off that one drawing, with the range-level material the catalogue names across its door and window lines filling in the parts the drawing does not show.

How the leaves work
The leaves hinge against one another and travel on a head track, so a bank of panels folds in pairs and comes together at one end of the opening. A front that spans a whole wall can therefore open with no single panel crossing the floor in a wide arc, which is what makes the system work where a terrace, a pool or a run of furniture sits close to the glass. The scene holds the bank part-open, with the folded leaves grouped along the middle of the run and the rest of the front standing glazed, a position a folding front keeps through much of the day.
Panel count, leaf width and the direction the bank folds are set against the opening. The catalogue page prints no dimensioned drawing for the series, so those numbers come back with the enquiry rather than off the page.
Frame and leaves
The frame is drawn slim around full-height clear glass leaves in a dark tone, so the folded panels and the standing glazed wall keep a light line against the pale facade. The door range is extruded in 6063-T5 primary aluminium, the grade the catalogue names across its window and door lines. In the scene the front is set beside a stone-clad wall and a marble panel, and a fixed glass return closes the far end of the run, so the opening continues around the building line instead of stopping at a post.
This page prints no colour card and no section drawing, so the finish, the leaf depth and the running gear are the parts a project confirms against the catalogue and the shop drawings on request.
Where the series fits
A folding front earns its place wherever a whole wall should open. The catalogue draws it on a villa living room that faces a pool deck and a lawn, an arrangement built for a room that runs out to the terrace through the warm months and seals into a single glass wall for the rest of the year. The same layout suits a garden room, a covered terrace or a restaurant front, where the clear width of the opening matters more than the size of any single panel. Because the leaves gather at one end, the walkway past the opening stays free, and the floor on both sides of the frame keeps its use.
OEM and project supply
The folding door is supplied on the same private-label basis as the rest of the door range: own-brand packing, project documentation and export-standard containers. A profile set and a finished test door can be reviewed before a project commits, and the leaf count and fold direction are set against the opening. Send the opening width, the number of leaves and the destination market, and the quotation returns with the dimensional pack for the front and the finish that matches the catalogue or the project's own colour.

FAQ
Asked on every Folding series project
What is the folding door?
It is the wide-opening series of the Adam Alux door range: a bank of glazed leaves that folds and gathers at one end of the frame, shown in the catalogue across a villa facade facing a pool deck.
How wide an opening can it cover?
The catalogue draws the front across a villa living-room wall as one continuous glazed run. Leaf count, panel width and fold direction are set against the opening, and the dimensional pack comes with the enquiry.
Where do the leaves go when the door is open?
They hinge against one another and gather at one end of the run, as the scene shows, so no single panel sweeps across the floor in front of the glass.
What glass and frame does it use?
Full-height clear glass leaves in a slim aluminium frame, drawn in a dark tone in the catalogue scene. The door range is extruded in 6063-T5 primary aluminium.
Which finishes are offered?
The page prints no colour card for the series, so the finish is confirmed against the catalogue and physical samples on request, with RAL matching and two-tone frames quoted per project.
Can it be sampled before ordering?
Yes. A profile set and a finished test door are available on request, with lead time confirmed with the enquiry.
