A curtain wall section is fixed by the building it sits on: the span, the wind load, the glazing build-up and the movement the facade has to take. Adam Alux does not publish a fixed facade catalogue for that reason. Send the sections with the loads they carry and the glazing schedule, and the profile set is worked out against them, then confirmed at quotation with the section drawings that go with it.
What to send with an enquiry
Three things carry the enquiry: the section drawings or the geometry the facade needs, the loads the mullions and transoms have to take, and the glazing build-up. A finish direction helps too, since facade work often runs to a single colour across a large area. With those in hand, the plant reviews the design and comes back with the extruded set, the finish and the packing for the facade order.
Aluminium and finishing for facades
Facade profiles are extruded in 6063-T5 primary aluminium on the same plant lines as the window and door series. Finishes run to anodised, thermal transfer and fluorocarbon, with RAL matching available on request. Fluorocarbon coatings are the usual choice where a facade faces weather and salt, and two-tone work is possible where an interior face has to differ from the exterior.
How the supply works
Facade orders follow the same route as the rest of the profile range. The quotation carries the dimensional pack, with CAD drawings on request so the facade contractor can plan the fabrication. A sample profile set is available before a project commits, and the sections ship in export-standard containers with private-label packing where the contractor works under its own brand.
Where the facade line fits in the range
The facade line sits beside the window and door profile line on one extrusion plant, which keeps the aluminium grade and the finishing standard the same across a mixed project. A tower front carrying curtain wall and window series in one colour is a normal order for that reason. Sections that fall outside the design are taken up by the custom die line rather than forced into a stock shape.
