Aluminium Grille Sectional Garage Door

A segmented aluminium face: battens set in a frame, open to air and light.

ALUMINIUM GRILLE SECTIONAL GARAGE DOOR

A segmented aluminium face

The grille door is a sectional garage door with a segmented aluminium face. Horizontal battens sit in an aluminium frame, so the leaf reads as a set of openings rather than a solid slab. Air moves through the face and natural light reaches the garage floor, which suits carports, utility entries and workshop fronts where a closed slab would leave the space dark. The layout is taken from the catalog: every panel, batten and frame member follows the section set, and the door is built to the opening rather than cut down on site.

Every scene on this page is a catalogue design rendering. It shows the batten rhythm and the finish direction; the section drawings and the finish list carry the numbers.

Key features

Four things it brings to the opening

01Segmented aluminium faceHorizontal battens sit in an aluminium frame, so the leaf reads as a set of openings rather than a solid slab, and air moves across the face.
02Frame at 3.0 / 1.6 mmThe frame wall is 3.0 / 1.6 mm and the battens are 1.0 mm, drawn so the batten set holds its line across the full door width.
03Panel depth 75 / 60 mmThe panel is 75 / 60 mm deep, which fixes the shadow line between panels and the depth of the leaf inside the opening.

Frame, batten and panel

The frame is extruded aluminium with a 3.0 / 1.6 mm wall, and the battens are 1.0 mm aluminium. The door panel is 75 / 60 mm deep, which sets the shadow line between panels and the depth of the leaf inside the opening. All profile is 6063-T5 primary aluminium, extruded in-house on the same line as the window and door ranges, so the frame carries the strength and crack resistance the alloy is chosen for. Battens lock into the frame so the face stays square across the width, and the segmented build keeps each section light enough for standard sectional hardware.

Finishes and catalog models

The grille range is catalogued in two models: GSW-01 in wood grain and GSB-01 in black. Finish options are Sand Black, Deep Grey and a set of wood-grain prints under catalog codes 20745 to 20766. Wood grain is applied as a print over the aluminium, so the face carries the tone of timber with the behaviour of metal, and it takes the same handling and cleaning as any other painted face. Samples of the actual finish are available before a project is confirmed, and the exact code is fixed against the swatch rather than the screen.

OEM and project supply

Grille doors leave the factory under the same OEM terms as the rest of the range: private-label packing, project documentation and export-standard containers. Because the frame, batten and panel all come off our own extrusion line, a bespoke face layout can be quoted from a drawing. The dimensional pack for the opening ships with the quotation, so the installer works from a fixed set of member sizes. Send the opening size, the batten spacing you want and the destination market, and the reply comes back with the whole pack, including a profile sample and a finished test section for approval before the order is placed.

FAQ

Asked on every garage door project

What is the grille door face made of?

An aluminium frame with a 3.0 / 1.6 mm wall holds horizontal aluminium battens with a 1.0 mm wall, on a 75 / 60 mm panel.

Which catalog models cover the grille range?

Two: GSW-01 in wood grain and GSB-01 in black.

Which finishes does the grille door take?

Sand Black, Deep Grey and wood-grain prints under codes 20745 to 20766.

Does the open face reduce security?

The face is segmented for airflow and light; the aluminium frame and batten set form the leaf, and hardware and locking are quoted per project.

Can the batten spacing be changed?

Yes. Batten spacing and panel split are quoted against the opening size, so a bespoke layout is possible.

Do you supply this door for OEM projects?

Yes. Private-label packing, project documentation and export-standard containers are available on the same terms as the window range.
