Aluminium Profiles

Aluminium Window Profile Supply for Doors and Windows

A window profile is settled by the opening it has to fill, and the Adam Alux catalogue meets that with 35 series, 28 door and 7 window. Each series is a set of extruded sections in 6063-T5 primary aluminium, drawn at the wall thickness its work needs. Profile supply runs to fabricators who build their own units, and the order travels with a dimensional pack on PDF and CAD drawings on request.

Sections by series

Wall thickness is the number to read first. The 50 casement window runs a 1.2 mm wall on a 50 mm profile depth. The 95 sliding window and the 126 panorama system run 1.4 mm. The 110 five-chamber casement is drawn at 1.4 mm, and its six-chamber 2.0 version, the 112 and the 118 all run a 2.0 mm wall for larger lights and exposed facades. On the door side, the 50 heavy sliding door is built on 50 x 65 mm and 50 x 100 mm sash sections, and the 40 heavy sliding door on a 40 mm frame with 63, 88 and 100 mm section depths. Each series ships with its own spec sheet, so the section is chosen against the module.

Aluminium and how the profiles are extruded

Window and door profiles are extruded in house from 6063-T5 primary aluminium, the same grade across both ranges. The plant has run production since 1997 across three bases in China, and the profiles for a series come off the same lines run after run. Chambers inside the section carry the glazing bead and the hardware on the inner walls, and manage drainage on the outer ones, which is why the same body suits a casement, a slider or a heavy door sash.

Finishes on window and door profiles

Profiles are supplied anodised, thermally transferred or fluorocarbon coated. RAL matching is available on request, and two-tone exterior and interior faces let a project hold one colour to the street and another inside the room. Because the finishing lines run for both window and door series, a facade carrying windows from one series and sliding doors from another can hold one finish across all of it.

Dimensional pack, CAD and batch consistency

Every quotation for window and door profiles carries the dimensional pack on PDF, with CAD drawings on request. The pack sets out the section drawings and the hardware layout, so a workshop can plan the cut list against the same numbers the factory works to. Profiles from different production runs have to match on the bench, and that is what the batch control is for: wall thickness and finish are checked on every run.

Who buys window and door profiles

Fabricators building their own windows and doors are the main buyers, followed by OEM partners running a private label and by contractors who want the sections in hand before the units are assembled. The supply route is the same for all three: a dimensional pack with the quotation, a sample profile set on request, and export-standard packing for the container.

FAQ

Frequently asked

What wall thickness do the window profiles use?

It depends on the series. The 50 casement window is 1.2 mm, the 95 sliding window and the 126 panorama system are 1.4 mm, and the 110 six-chamber, 112 and 118 casements run 2.0 mm for larger lights. The spec sheet for each series carries its own figure.

Which series can you supply as loose profiles?

The full window and door range, 35 series in total, is available as profile supply. A workshop orders the sections it needs, with the dimensional pack on PDF and CAD drawings on request, and assembles the units on its own line.

Do you ship CAD drawings of the sections?

Yes, on request. The standard pack is the dimensional pack on PDF; CAD drawings of the sections and the hardware layout are supplied when the workshop needs them for its cut list.

Can we get a sample profile set?

Yes. A sample profile set is available on request, and a finished test unit can be supplied too, so the workshop can check the sections against its own fabrication before a project commits.

Can a non-catalogue window section be produced?

Yes, through the custom die line. Send the section, the load it carries and the quantity, and the die and tooling details are confirmed at quotation.
